Gegen 10 Uhr bin ich vom Zoo mit der U-Bahn zu meinen Eltern gefahren. Über AirBNB haben wir eine tolle Wohnung gefunden und heute wollten wir zusammen frühstücken. Pfeffer war Fehlanzeige – in diesem Fall konnte uns jedoch Ali, der Inhaber des kleinen Lebensmittelgeschäftes im selben Haus in der Birkenstraße, aushelfen. Es war interessant zu erfahren, dass seine Familie und er wie meine Eltern mit Ihren Verwandten vor über 30 Jahren nach Deutschland kamen und dass in seiner Heimatregion viele Völker und Kulturen schon seit ewig langer Zeit zusammen wohnen. Für ihn zählt der Mensch und nicht die Hautfarbe, die Herkunft oder ähnliches. Nächstenliebe, Dankbarkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft, davon waren wir alle überzeugt, ist unser höchstes Gut. Und wir sind alle froh dies von unseren Familien mit auf den Weg bekommen zu haben.
